I am an adult rider and have been taking lessons from Jen for over 6 months now. I share a horse at Code Blue Farm in Islip.
I have been very happy with Jen. She is a very smart and professional woman. Horses are her passion and it shows in her dedication. 
She is very reliable and will teach in any weather. We have been riding most of the winter. 
Jen knows a lot about horses. She not only teaches me how to ride but also about the health of the horse. She teaches me how to take better care of him as well. 
Jen has been very patient with me and the horse. Sometimes he can be very cranky and stubborn. Jen has helped me to gain confidence both in and out of the saddle.
My opinion is that Jen is not only a great horse trainer but also a great person. I would recommend her to people of all ages.

5 Star Equine Services have been really great.  I have been taking lessons with Jen and having her help with the training of the horse I ride for over 6 months.  I have learned a tremendous amount from her about myself as a rider and about horses.  Not only has she helped me to become a better rider, but she has helped me to change the horse I ride so that he is relaxed and collected from the moment I get on him.  It is really wonderful to be trained by someone who is as passionate about horses as Jen is.

Jen has been teaching my daughter since the summer.  I have seen so much growth in her ability to ride and handle her horse that I am no longer concerned when she is at the barn.  Jen's sensitivity to both students and horses has given my daughter the confidence she needed to become a true equestrian.  Her knowledge and enthusiasm about horses has even gotten me back riding after a twenty year absence.
